Speech by Cleric Mr. Mohamed Ali El-Husseini in the conference on "Global Tolerance" in Paris
 
Ladies and Gentlemen,
May peace and God's mercy be upon you,
God says in his Holly Book  :"Invite to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching and argue with them is the best".
 that the God is knows this is the logic that Almighty God ordered us to treat and deal with others, this flexible logic reaches up to the maximum degree in Celebrity when the Almighty advises us in another verse  "Repel evil is better If that enmity between you and like Crown intimate".
Which means that Islam recommends Muslims and advises them with tolerance to the greatest extent possible. This peaceful, flexible and merciful logic is definitely not that violent, radical and closed logic style advocated by extreme currents that are closed on themselves, and who believe that the Call for Islam is based on force and compulsion, while the Almighty God has confirmed in the Holy Quran that"No enforcement in religion".
The big secret behind the spread and the large expansion of  Islam, since the very days of it honored humanity, was not at all the force and the sword as some want to portray; because what is built on coercion and compulsion disappears with the disappearance of this mighty force;  while, in fact Islam, had reached to the most remote areas in the world and remained there even after the Islamic Caliphate and the end of Islamic rule in those areas. The big secret behind the large spread of Islam and the enthusiasm of the people lies in the tolerance, empathy and social harmony rooted in its noble teachings; in this regards, many of the Quran verses indicate this trend, for example, but not limited to: "But forgive and overlook, do you not wish that God will forgive you and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful","Take the amnesty and ordered the convention and introduce the ignorant", "say to the people well and keep up prayer and pay the poor".
 In fact, for those who seek to verify and meditate in Muslim communities around the world, will find that those Islamic communities are based on the principles of tolerance, love, acceptance of the other and reject violence, coercion and cruelty.
The extreme organizations have spread in several points of the Muslim world for various reasons, in our opinion, it is considered that the most important reason behind their cancerous spread is due to the absence of tolerance and familiarity in their speech, while those are in fact the true reality and the line of Islam, and the only way to refute extremist propositions who in their turn call for the deployment of hatred, violence and cruelty.
 
Ladies and Gentlemen
The honored scholars of the Islamic nation especially those from different sects, as well as the Christian clergy and Jews, are invited today for a global campaign to call for tolerance, love, peace, rejection of violence and cruelty and hatred of various kinds; and we are confident that this effort will thus play a role in preparing the appropriate grounds for communities that reject violence, cruelty, renounce extremism and return to the basic human roots that is based on tolerance.
