Upon having a close look at human history and fathom the different historical eras and stages, we find a very important fact regarding human civilization reflected in the fact that it have always been thru in the times when all reasons of security and stability prevailed and social relations patterns were built on mutual trust, cooperation and collaboration all of which was supported by existing laws and regulations. Contrary to this, the periods when disturbances, strife and chaos prevailed, reasons for security and stability and thus the cultural building was completely absent.
In the same direction and context, a deep review of the history of relations between religions, shows us the best periods and most of which served humanity and its values, are those periods in which security and stability were prevailing along with laws and regulations that coordinate and organize the daily life of individuals, communities and peoples. However, at the same time, we must point out an important fact in this regard, which is the interaction between religions and the sincere, transparent and deep dealing among them, along with the good values, love and cooperation broadcasted and planted among their followers, all of which perpetuate and reinforce security and stability factors and, most important, grant psychological and spiritual reassurance.
Emphasis on truth and honesty in human transactions, forms the basis and corner stone between the three religions, and through the scrutiny of prophet’s hadith “God pray on him”: (God do not look at your image and funds but at your hearts and deeds), moreover, another prophet’s hadith: (religion is in treatment), Indicate very clearly that Islam has given extraordinary importance to the issue of the treatment, not between people of the same religion, but with the followers of other religions also. Furthermore, the Ten Commandments could be considered as the basis of granting happiness and true peace of mind for humanity because they are logical commandments that address the mind and guide it to right behaviors, it defines human commitments and what must be sidestepped. It is striking that the importance and considerations of prayer, fasting and other acts of worship dwindles when measured with treatment of human behavior as prophet of God Hadith says: (Do not look to the large number of prayers, fasting, frequent pilgrimages and charity, but look to the sincerity of their conversation and honest performance). We should never forget what prophet of God confirmed in another Hadith: (I was only sent to perfect good character), and what is mentioned in the Holy Quran on the ideal of morality of prophet of God: (And thou (O Mohamed) on an exalted slandered of character), all of which shows that Islam is not a typical religion so focused on worship and neglects the other basic aspects of life, living conditions and methods of dealing between individuals and communities.
Jewish and Christian religions, through the Ten Commandments, which are the most important Judeo-Christian heritage where Moses (peace upon him) received them written on the Sharia tablet in Mount Horeb, are considered "commandments of the mind, and enforcing them is fundamental in a manner that no one can be exempted from them". In the Bible, when Prophet Isa (peace upon him) was asked “what good deed must I do to inherit eternal life?” he answered “memorize the Commandments”, and when we review the Ten Commandments in Islam and compare them with their counterparts in Judaism and Christianity, we find them too close to each other in terms of constructing ground of moral values of the three religions.
Today, as we find the world is facing a serious challenge and threat of extremism, militancy and religious intolerance, which forms fertile ground for the growth and the emergence of terrorism. Accordingly, we find that it is our duty to look at the common denominators between religions that combines and tightens the hearts of the religions’ followers to each other, and we should know that almighty God will not accept followers of any religion who broadcast fear, chaos and instability; moreover, the more closer to almighty God, humanity and the whole life are religion followers who spread the values of goodness, love and cooperation along with sacrifice and altruism, and that the three religions reflect the best expression of these values. In these days and this age, the greatest service that can be provided not only for humanity, but even of religions the same is by displaying these values.
