Dr Mohamad Ali El Husseini at the Conference in Brussels "Together Against Terrorism" calls for an Islamic-Christian-Jewish Coalition

Cleric Dr. Mohamad Ali El Husseini, renewed his call for a Coalition of good-doers who descend from the three Abrahamic religions: Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, to fight radicalism and forces of evil

 

Dr. El Husseini asserted in his speech at the conference "Together Against Terrorism" which was held in Brussels that "our call stems from the fact that there is one origin for all religions, all uniting for the welfare of mankind. This thus begs the question as of why these religions do not collaborate with one another, such that religious figures and leaders can work side by side in fighting Terrorism, since it stems out of no religion, but instead of evil and murder."

 

Dr. El Husseini presented a definition of Terrorism in his speech and the dangers it entails, in addition to the Islamic Arab Council's observation to this phenomenon from the religious and political perspectives. He also asserted the Council's refusal of hatred and radicalism, and called for a culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, firstly by fighting Terrorism at the cultural level, which is the Council's main role of duty.

 

Dr. El Husseini also added: "the second step for encountering Terrorism will be in the form of a Coalition against evil radicals, comprised of dedicated Clerics from Jewish, Christian, and Islamic religions. Those Clerics can then exchange thoughts and collaborate with one another, each from their own community, with the aim of weeding out the roots that nurture Terrorism in those given communities.
